Welcome to GreentoGold. We are specialists in Spanish Olive Oils and
all typical Spanish food products as well as Spanish Ceramics.
We travel through the olive mills of Southern Spain, Andalucia, in search of the best tasting olive oils from each region across the country, from East to West. This journey takes us into quite remote and beautiful parts of Andalucia, the real, raw Spain.
We do this journey every year, as harvests alter from year to year. A true blessing! So, they come to you from the mountains, from the plains and from the desert like campo of southern Spain. All extra virgin, each so different, all exquisite. Make sure you try them to then choose the one you love. Or try having two of opposite flavours. You won't be disappointed!
If you can't find what you want on our website then please do get in touch. Alternatively we have a retail outlet in Tavistocks Pannier Market every Thursday and Friday where you can sample all of our oils. If that still doesn't suit you we are at events throughout the year. Visit our events page and check out when we're near you.
Hola todos! Hope you are all keeping safe and well in this changed world. Eat healthily, keep fit (with Joe Wicks!), catch up with all those must does and always - wash those hands! So we've received our 2020 harvest of the fine and fabulous ESTEPA extra virgin olive oil. The current climate means we can only send it to you OR if you live locally you can either drive by and pick up from outside or walk by and I will put it outside the house. BACS payment is fine. If you're keen for any other products that you normally have then we can make arrangements for those aswell. We can make payment by BACS...supa easy, just let me know if you want to.

STOP PRESS! FEBRUARY 2020
Happy New Year everybody and welcome to 2020! Not only is this our 20th (yes twentieth) year in business, it is also one of exciting change and diversity for GreentoGold. We are not disappearing but the way we are developing the business may effect many of you. Adapting to the political climate and leaving the EU could possibly have spurred on these changes, but there is also the need to progress and evolve.
A big change for the business is that we will no longer be selling our products on a weekly basis in the Tavistock Pannier Market. We will occasionally be appearing at local events or shows or perhaps on Tavistock Square, but it will be a lot less frequent. We will keep you posted of our movements via announcements on the website and Facebook. Make sure you follow us to stay up-to-speed. We will continue to hold stock, so for those who want to purchase olive oil, olives and any of our other Spanish foods we will do so from our Albaston HQ or feel free to phone or email to arrange a drop off.
The next big and exciting development is that we are moving the business on and expanding to pastures new. We have handed GreentoGold over to my daughter, Helina, and her husband Ian who are based in South East London. They are both extremely passionate about the business and the products and will endeavour to sell and develop everything about GreentoGold in that location whilst keeping our ethos of quality and customer care. We feel the business is in safe hands and are extremely happy that it is staying in the family with people we trust whole-heartedly. Our new role will be to continue in the background supplying them with the product which means we still get to travel through the olive mills of southern Spain (Yey!) and the selling becomes their domain.
GreentoGold has been a big part of our lives since the year 2000 and we have had a thoroughly amazing time searching, tasting, travelling, sourcing and interacting with our Spanish amigos. Being half Chilean myself, I have had a very exciting time getting used to their accents, chatting, questioning, listening to their opinions, recommendations and methods, plus their unbounded enthusiasm for life. What an open and friendly nation they are. Roger and I have learnt so much from these travels, we’ve been educated about olive oil more than we could have ever imagined, when at first it was simply all about just the taste.
Previously we also had a thriving wholesale side to the business too, selling to high end restaurants and eateries in Devon and Cornwall, but when the recession began in 2009, it affected our wholesale side hugely. This dramatic change in the tides saw us concentrate more on lifestyle and food events which were tremendous, plus our regular stall in the Tavistock Pannier Market. During these times we’ve been lucky enough to meet so many fantastic people and want to thank you all for your continued custom and support. It’s been very much appreciated.
So, in a nutshell, we have not disappeared, we have expanded. You may see a little less of us but we still remain available for you to purchase our usual Spanish foods. We are still here, contactable, willing and able! For those in London please email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 07812 164321 for further information or to place an order.
Hasta luego todos.
Carol and Rog.

OLIVE OIL PROTECTS AGAINST ALZEHEIMER'S
We came across a fantastic article about how Olive Oil protects against Alzeheimers in the i Newspaper dated the 21st June 2017. Please take the time to have a read.
Extra-virgin olive oil preserves memory and protects the brain against Alzheimer’s, a study has found. It works both by reducing brain inflammation and activating a process in which cells break down and clear the debris and toxins that build up between them and contribute to dementia. The process is known as autophagy.
OLIVE OIL COULD HELP
PREVENT BRAIN CANCER
A recent article in the i Newspaper suggested Olive Oil could help prevent brain cancer. According to a scientific study a compound found in olive oil may help to prevent cancer developing in the brain. Research into oleic acid, the primary ingredient in olive oil, has shown how it can help to prevent cancer-causing genes from functioning in cells, say experts at the University of Edinburgh.
